Cerridwen seemed to have a specific ruin in mind because Jessica noticed they had passed a few and she didn't even stop to investigate them.

She was unsure how long they had been walking but she didn't feel tired yet, so she didn't mind.

"We're getting closer to the place I have in mind, it has one of the few fresh water sources so it'll be ideal," Cerridwen explained with out stopping of looking back.

"Ah that-.. is that a ghost?" Shaden asked abruptly, breaking off is earlier comment.

Jessica looked in the direction that Shaden was not abruptly facing and she saw an apparition.

It was a courser, or at least something courser-shaped. It was see through and seemed to be disappearing in and out of the mist. Even stranger still there was a smooth-skinned two legged creature on its back.

"Ah, a ghost  horse and its former human rider," Shaden declared, 'It doesn't seem to have noticed us, I think we should continue one."

Cerridwen seemed hesitant as if it had really captured her curitosity.

"What is it love?" Shaden asked her, picking up on her reluctance.

"There is definitely treasure over there," she stated, "I don't think the ghost is harmful. It's probably trapped there or set there to be a deterrent to others."

Shaden looked to be considering her words, he glanced at Jessica as if to ask her opinion.

"I don't fear such things, my magic is quite effective against all sorts of creature of this sort. Both the undying, the restless and the undead."

The wisp started to shine a little brighter as she spoke almost as if it was agreeing with her.

"Then, I shall give in to the ladies," Shaden decided, "Let us go and investigate."

Such a smooth talker, Jessica thought fondly.

They went over, with Cerridwen leading. As they got closer the ghost actually moved away from them, getting more distant.

"It doesn't want to play with us," Cerridwen quipped.

In the place where the ghost had been lingering before was a pile of bones and half-buried chest.

"Well, you were right about the treasure," Shaden admitted.

Cerridwen didn't look smug about it, she was staring after the retreating ghost with a curious expression.

Jessica noted that none of the bones there look like courser bones to her. Her wisp started to drift in the direction of the ghost as if wanting to give chase and she had to call it back.

"It doesn't want to tangle with us, let it be," she said to the wisp. It flashed as if answering.

"Your wisp seems quite intelligent," Cerridwen pointed out, "More sentient than most I've seen. Some are just glorified lamps."

"This one is good," Shaden praised it then he walked over to the chest and grabbed hold of the exposed handle on the side and started to pull it out of the cloying mud. It took a bit of effort but soon it came loose.

He dragged it over to Cerridwen and invited her to do the honors.

"With pleasure!" she retorted and then got to work at opening it up.
