Your ears prick as the hot air is pierced by otherworldly barking. A pack of hellhounds has started to hunt the halls of the furnace, the glow of their molten bones visible under their skin. What will you do to survive?

After some more verbal abuse from the imps, Bursztynek and Robin finally managed to lose the annoying creatures off their backs, continuing their search for treasure… It won’t be that bad from now on, right?

Well, too bad.

Just as the two Coursers managed to escape the pests of The Earthen Furnace, something more ominous and dangerous announced its presence. Loud barks and howls, with the sound of a whole pack of hellhounds sniffing around, searching for fresh prey - Courser meat is very delicious after all… at least that’s something some of the carnivores of the dungeon would say. Riches were certainly nice, but keeping your own life was also a very important thought to have in the back of your mind. Getting rich will have to wait, apparently… Ah, at least she had little bits of treasure in her bag, and Robin had too!

“What now?!” Bursztynek panicked nonetheless, moving the gaze of her brown eyes on her companion.

“Run!” Robin announced, and Bursztynek took off running with her friend before the hellhounds could properly process their scent, their hooves clicking loudly against the cobblestone flooring of the bridge, deciding to move back to The Overgrown Caverns, their feet soon moving from the harsh stone to softer moss-covered floor, breathing heavily after their escape, hopefully now being safe for now… Maybe there will be nicer treasures, in the end…
