[DD2] Röl #1 Home Sweet Home
Röl rested against the wall of the cave. It was a necessary part of the explorations. The resting. But he couldn’t help but to dream himself back to the surface. He enjoyed the high adrenaline in the caves, but when it came to relaxing he preferred the surface. There he could let loose. Sleep. Feel refreshed from all the worry and adrenaline of the caves. The caves were a sort of home to him for sure. He could no longer spend all his time on only the surface. But his true home would always be under the sun. There was just nothing that could a hundred percent replace the way the sun danced on his back. There was no cave water that could replace a fresh, rippling brook. He could spend all his time in the forest, listening to the animals that lived in it. So the surface was home to him, more so than the caves he walked in. But he would be tired of his home if it wasn’t for the caves.
Röl looked up at the ceiling. There was no blue sky down here. There was no sun to warm him up. He had to be prepared for anything. He looked down onto the red ground. At least here it was warm. He wasn’t freezing. But he wasn’t sure if he was such a big fan of this area. It was filled with lava. He had just now arrived in the area. Barely explored before he took his break. He already disliked the area so much. The heat from the lava was nothing against the sun on the surface and he longed for it. But now all he could really do was think about home. And in the end he was fine with it. Charlie the Inconvenience, a small drake, was sleeping on Röls back. The drake had never seen the surface. Not yet at least. And Röl would make sure to introduce him to his home. As soon as they could.
