If Copcar's parents had received report cards on him, the sentence "plays well with others" would never have been seen. Perhaps "pressures the children to play his games", phrased politically as "has great leadership skills", but he'd always had a hard time realizing that he was making friends. He had never been mean, not really, but he just always saw others as "others", and nothing really tied to him.

Even now, he interacted only rarely with others, possibly nodding at his neighbors when they greeted him but not even thinking to stop. Wee-woo was likely his closest friend, and she spent most of her time talking to herself. Other than that, there was no one. He wasn't even sure he could name anyone else.

Okay, fine, there was one. Of course there was one, but not every conversation had to bring them up. And they weren't a friend! Copcar wasn't close to anyone else, didn't really spend much time thinking on any but them, but it was because they were awful! Horrible! Beautiful! Capable! Terrible! And also gross. No one should be so attractive in their friendliness.

Oh - wait. Firetruck was friends with many, so they were beating Copcar in that way, but that was a way that didn't matter and wasn't important and Copcar wasn't trying to win that anyways! He didn't care. He LIKED being alone. He wasn't lonely, cause he always had Wee-woo talking to him, and she was chatty enough to even count for a child. Child. Child. Children. Babies - did the paint want a family, children who would love him and he would want to remember their names? Firetruck would make a fantastic parent... because they were lame! Boring! A stone cold winner as a partner! Nothing that Copcar would ever want to spend his entire life with.

Because Copcar didn't join parties, unless it was to show them that he was at least as cool as Firetruck. He didn't need anyone but himself (and Wee-woo).
