[EASY] RP - A better outcome - Campaign #2-4
Dillyweed | Röl / Söl
After they had managed to get the invaders to leave their camp they all rested. Söl made sure to prioritize his insects before he rested himself. He was relieved to see that the cages for the insects still had all their glass intact. He wouldn’t need to try and save anything. The insects themselves were shaken but not excessively so. He spent most of the rest making space for the new ones and making sure they were all safe.
Röl was quite fired up after the encounter and he tried his very best to rest. He had mostly watched as Strohimer and Senbonzakura fought off the invaders but it wasn’t for lack of courage. Rather he didn’t want to bother the two as they fought them. At the same time he could learn quite a bit from them as well. He watched as they quickly dismissed the angry invaders who clearly realized they were outmatched this time around. He hoped he could join in the fight the next time. The pygmy drake that hung onto his mane was mostly just happy all the noises were over so that he could rest. He wasn’t the most active pygmy drake in the world but it worked out well for them.
“Well, we can’t stay here.” Strohimer said, nodding towards the camp. “They could be back when they think we’ve gone.”
“Or worse, they could try and attack when we’re asleep.” Senbonzakura added in and Strohimer nodded.
“We should go back and set up camp away from the face doors.” Röl suggested and both Senbonzakura and Strohimer seemed to like the idea. “Do you think we can get past again?”
“I think so, it didn’t close for us. I think it will stay open when we are near. Maybe if someone new joined us it would close.” Söl said as he carefully placed more moss in the insect cage. All three of them watched him. They were more for the loot and glory. He was more for the information and knowledge. While Söl didn’t find their interest weird it was clear that they didn’t understand his interests.
“So it’s decided.” Röl said and began to pack up his stuff. Söl as well packed up his stuff carefully and they began moving back through the tunnel leading to the doors with the smiling face ontop of it.
As they arrived at the door it was as easy as Söl had anticipated. The door was wide open for them and they could easily walk through it. The nagging voice of the smiling face was loud in their ears.
“Oooh. Well if it isn’t insect boy.” The smiling face said as Söl entered through the door first. “And all the other ones as well. Wasn’t your choice good enough?” He guffawed. The frowning door was keeping its eyes closed but Söl could swear he had seen it sneak a peek at them as they passed by.
“Any chance we could change our answer?” Söl tried taunting the door back. It didn’t see the humor in it.
“No. The choice is chosen. Or whatever the saying is. You shall forever not know what you don’t know.” The face sounded almost posh when it spoke.
“Sounds good to me.” Söl answered back as the last of the other three passed through the door. The smiling face snorted loudly, clearly displeased by his response. “We’ll see you.”
“Don’t be afraid to never come back.” The face shouted after them as they walked back in hopes of finding a better camping spot.

AberrantKapro | Strohmeier / Senbonzakura
As Söl and Röl started packing, Senbonzakura and Strohmeier took down their tents. Neither of them had much stuff with them as they preferred to travel lightly with more room for loot to bring out.
Luckily, neither of them were too roughed up from the encounter with the intruders, but they didn't want to leave anything behind for them to steal. They were likely to come back.
Röl had suggested they head back through the tunnel to the doors, Senbonzakura wasn't a huge fan of the idea but he saw no better option, as the other way would just cover the part of the dungeon they had already explored, while also heading back towards the exit. They weren't ready to call it quits yet, perhaps a greedy thought, but they had not gotten enough fun loot yet to go back home.
The corridor almost felt shorter as they walked back, and before they knew it, they were back to the doors. This time, they were a lot less happy with them. In fact, both the faces were dismissive and rude, refusing them entry to the other one. Fair enough..
Senbonzakura and Strohmeier shared the lead this time, as the group left the doors behind.
