[DD1] Overgrown Caverns - Cocoon Cavern
You enter a room in the Caverns full of massive, dangling pillars of silk. Upon further inspection, they are cocoons; in the light, you can see various giant caterpillars and moths in various stages of transformation. These vulnerable creatures could be valuable, but you’re not sure what dangers they may pose if disturbed. What do you do?
“Hmph,”
Romeo paused as he surveyed his surroundings, scanning his gaze over the various cocoons and webbing stretched before him.
This immediate barrier to the start of his dive was frustrating; he’d barely been in the dungeon caverns fifteen minutes before finding himself in this makeshift moth nursery, and he couldn’t see any obvious way through the myriad of silk. Snorting in frustration, he decides to just start marching in one set direction ahead…
He managed to swing under and around a few smaller dangling cocoons, and unceremoniously clambers over several yards of shed silk from burst pupae, before seeming to reach an even more dense-packed area.
“This cannot go on forever, surely?” he huffs, his irritation rising by the second. He angrily whips his head around, trying to find where next to step through the thickening columns, and his eyes fall upon a narrow opening under an overhang in the rock face. His tail flicks angrily as a wee violet moth tries to land on it, and then starts towards the opening.
The courser has to further swerve and crouch, sidling close to the walls to avoid brushing too many of the dreaded cocoons (Romeo hated how they felt grazing against him), but before long he reached the end of the cavern, with only a few stray wisps of silk tousled into his fur. Upon reaching the opening however, it becomes apparent that it may be a bit too short for him to comfortably walk through… He rolls his eyes and snorts again, his temper flaring once more as he realises he shall have to continue to stoop to leave this forsaken cavern.
