[DD2] Oneiros and Gale (A Revenge Tale)
Fetch watched in the distance a horse hopelessly lost;
They were an ombre ether, looks like permafrost.
This horse, they were Gale, a courser melancholic.
A being did approach, red eyes diabolic,
He looked like a heraldic, which perhaps was true...
Yet there was much more that Fetch did see in him too.
This 'horse' did not breathe, until he moved to go speak,
His words were compelling, with very strange mystique.
Whatever he said, it only was heard by Gale.
Switching perspectives, lost Gale heard a stranger hail:
"Greetings, my dear, you seem as if you are quite lost,"
His gaze promised help, but with a demon deal's cost.
Hesitant, unsure what this being intended,
Gale spoke up, "My map, into lava descended."
The courser told the stranger, a flick of their ears.
Embarrassment was primary, no thought of fears...
Perhaps Gale should have feared the reason of approach.
They were descended from heroes beyond reproach,
At least that was the story that they had been told.
This being before them could fit in that tale old...
...An undead being that masquerades as alive,
Locked away from all contact, no hope to revive.
There was barely more that they could still remember,
Of unfortunates straying near hellish ember.
Oddly like present happenings, actually...
But thought this heraldic just unusually
Well, similar, but of course he was different,
Gale had grown to childhood stories indifferent.
They could not see into this stranger's thoughts and mind
If they could, they would have not consider this kind.
Oneiros had a plan, to enact his revenge,
So many years missed slumbering, he would avenge.
But not quite yet. It was not yet the time to hunt...
Oneiros had determined Gale would bear the brunt
Of his wrath for what those cursed 'heroes' had done,
Though his revenge would be cold, the war would be won.
So as Oneiros did smirk, watched by Fetch still there,
He spoke: "I know the way, follow me if you dare."
It would not happen today, he was to build trust
For what he would enact, 'twas an absolute must.
