Commitment.
Greatness. Drive. Ambition.
Purpose.
Oriana had never had any of it. She lead a simple life, driven to please.
She was perfect for Kronos. Perfect for him, and for his purpose. A god needed supplicants. Tenders of the shrine. She did his bidding beautifully, under the spell of smooth smiles and quick, silver-tongued words. She believed in him. She was by his side, urging him to follow his dreams. He wanted not to be a prince, a reknowned warrior, a king- he wanted it all. Godhood.
Kronos went on adventures with her, seeking magical artifacts. Speaking of what his greatness would bring them. She had the veil over her eyes, told in vague monologues about what awaited them. He loved having a servant, so doting and so...Hm. Obedient? Sometimes she was harried and out of breath, but she never wavered in her duties, even when he grew short, irritated. She didn't deserve it but who was there to tell her so?
Always at his beck and call, Oriana did his bidding. Including bearing his foals. The labor was hard, and the glint in his eye was hard, too. Yes. Yes. This was another step closer to greatness, the god watching the birth of his children unto the world. They would be trained well, even better than their naive mother. Her dedication and his cunning would make for agents fit to spread his gospel.
Commitment.
