"I can tell that something is on your mind."

Jessica blinked slowly and tilted her head but still remained quiet even after Shaden raised this point.

"You need not swallow down every complaint. I am not against you having an opinion."

Jessica snorted.

"It isn't that, don't be dramatic," she admonished him, "I just don't understand why you don't take someone with you."

"Like?"

"Vanessa or any of the members of White Hand."

Shaden smiled slightly.

"I am not against partying with others. In such campaigns I would undoubtedly be responsible for crowd control and dealing large amounts of elemental damage. However, for the first couple levels of the dungeons, it would be overkill for me to take a companion."

"You can't ever be too safe, Shaden."

"I would agree with you, but it is the creatures of the dungeons who are more in danger than I am."

His confident words  made her smack her lips in mild irritation.

"You can't deny it..." he teased her.

"I would prefer that you not go alone..." she hedged.

"Are you offering to come with me my love?" Shaden inquired.

"After the foal is born... yes," she said finally.

Shaden nuzzled her gently.

"I'll commission some equipment for you and also get to work on enchanting some weapons," he promised.

She nodded and Shaden coaxed her into a more intimate scene.

After an extended time he finally bid her good-bye and left the manor grounds.
