[DD3] Bark, Bark, Wherever You Are
"Goud, come onnnnnnnn!" I could hear the barking getting fainter, and I was literally prancing on the moist grass of the Moor in my urgency to go after it. Goud was standing with his head low, looking at two skeletons entwined on the ground, one a Courser and one some sort of humanoid. Their heads were pressed together, and I couldn't place the look on Goud's face. He looked up at me.
"Dont you wonder who they are? Why they fell like this?"
I willed my hooves to stop dancing and stay still. "In the most respectful way possible, no Goud. They're long gone, and any story they had went with them. So we can stand here and stare, or we can go after the very real and getting further by the moment Dark Hound, a creature that is right here, alive right now."
Goud closed his eyes, and for a moment I thought he was going to refuse to move. But he let out a sigh, and shook his head before walking over to me.
"Come on then, lead the way."
We took off, heading for the direction where I'd last heard the barking. Goud tried to hide it, but I noticed that before he'd come away, he had left a single coin behind with the two ill-fated beings. My brow furrowed as we ran, and Goud didn't say a single word.
