Cocky as he was, Terrence was kinder than his attitude might have let on. Lucy meeting him was one such example. He stuck around the oddball cat-looking rat horse and kept by her side through an unfamiliar dungeon. She'd only ever been on the upper levels. This heat in the furnace was something else.

She leaned over to sniff towards an odd smell when she heard Terrence, "Oi, look out-"

she felt the weight of something slipping from her pack, and then the sound of the lava gurgling. Oh dear.

"Aaand it's gone," Terrence sighed. Lucy's ears stuck out. "What...was it? What did I lose?"

"something shiny."

"Oh. Then I guess I won't miss it too much." She knew 'shiny' meant smooth and usually metal, usually expensive, but it was just loot. She didn't care much. 

"seriously?"

"seriously. Did you know that I don't even know what shiny looks like?"

"oh. Makes...sense," he nodded quietly.
